Our school is technically division 1, can we still participate?
Every applicant is handled on a case-by-case basis, so there is a chance!
What games are played in the GLEC?
Currently we play League of Legends, Valorant, Rocket League, Overwatch 2, and Super Smash Bros Ultimate 4v4 crew battles More games could be added in future seasons!
Is there any in person aspect?
Yes! The playoffs finals happen on LAN for each semester, which allows us to ensure we are in person at least once for every game in our competitive circuit.
Who runs the GLEC?
A team from Game Arena located in Columbus, Ohio currently structure, organize, and regulate the GLEC.
What schools are a part of the GLEC?
We currently have over 18 participants in the region. Check out the Schools tab for more information on each school, as well as what games they are currently competing in within the GLEC
Our school is outside the great lakes region, can we participate, or only play online?
The main focus of the GLEC is to keep competition to a limited radius, so that competition feels local and impactful. Unfortunately, this means that schools outside the region are ineligible
